Stanford D. Fingerhut, 65 of Genoa, Ohio passed away Friday, February 9, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Stan was born in Toledo, Ohio on May 2, 1952 to William and Helen (Blitzer) Fingerhut. Stan retired in 2011 after a career in manufacturing and the service industry with Meilink/Chubb, Darlington House, Kuhlman Engineering, and Romanoff Industries. Stan was a charter member and long-time past president of the Lake Erie British Car Club and also a member of the Ottawa County Conservation League. In his spare time Stan enjoyed driving his vintage Triumph sports cars, playing the guitar, and watching classic western movies and TV shows. Stan had a special place in his heart for his dog Echo and cats Ziggy and Pyewacket. His real love was his family. Surviving are his loving wife Carol; children Tammy (Joe) Bronowski, Josie (Mahdey) Shaheen, and Joel Fingerhut; grandchildren Jordyn, Maddie, and Carson Bronowski, and Emma Shaheen; sister, Adair Sirota. Stan was preceded in death by his parents. The family will receive visitors on Monday from 3pm to 8pm at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury, where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Clay Township Cemetery.
