Stella B. Gawrych, 90, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2014 at Mercy St. Charles Hospital. Stella was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 5, 1923 to Joseph and Helen (Sluzewski) Gibowski. On October 12, 1950, she married Paul Gawrych. Stella worked at Great Lakes Terminal and GI Home Improvement. She later worked at Arthur Murray Dance Studio, where she enjoyed being a dance instructor. Stella was a 60 year member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Stella is survived by her sister, Helen Howland; nephews and nieces, Daniel (June) Howland, David Howland, William (Tina) Howland, Kevin Gawrych, Carol Laurie, Barbra (Robert) Mackowiak, Sandy Frey, Katherine (Brian) Grady, and Janice (Michael) Sulier; along with many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; and brother, Theodore Gibowski. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Monday, May 12, 2014 from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm where a scripture service will be held at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 2255 Central Grove Avenue, Toledo, where the family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 am.
