Stephanie J. Nenno, 56, of Oregon, Ohio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 10, 2006, at the inpatient unit of Hospice of Northwest Ohio at Perrysburg. Stephanie was born in Toledo, Ohio on May 24, 1950, to Steve and Ann (Kovacs) Lakatos. Steph was a 1968 graduate of Waite High School. Stephanie was employed by Continental Coffee Co. and most recently, as a Clerk for the Oregon Municipal Court. She was a faithful member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Oregon, where she was involved with the R.C.I.A. program.
Steph is survived by the love of her life, George, whom she married on June 4, 1994, at The Church of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Toledo. Also surviving are her nephews, Robert and Jason Mercurio; great-nephews, Jason and Daniel; great-nieces, Jessica and Danielle; brother-in-law, Paul (Karen Dillon) Billick; father-in-law, Warren Nenno; sister-in-law and her family, Theresa (Leslie) Declercq and sons, Michael and Andrew. Steph was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Julianne Mercurio-Billick and her mother-in-law, Antoinette Nenno.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 2-9 p.m. on Friday, October 13, 2006, at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 South Coy Road. A prayer service will take place at 7:00 p.m. by friends of Calvin United Church of Christ, of which Steph's parents were members. The recitation of the Rosary will be at 8 p.m. by the members of St. Ignatius Church. Prayers will be said in the funeral home on Saturday, October 14, 2006, at 9:15 a.m. before proceeding to St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 212 N. Stadium Rd., Oregon for the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Stephanie's memory are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio or St. Ignatius Church.
