Stephen P. Clapsaddle, 66, of Millbury, OH, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2006, in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. He was born in Millbury, OH, on January 8, 1940, to Fred and Helen (Riley) Clapsaddle. Steve was employed by CSX Railroad as an engineer for 43 years, retiring in 2002. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Pemberville, where he and his wife, Ann, maintained the building and grounds for many years. Steve also was a member of the United Transportation Union where he served as union rep and on the safety committee. He will be remembered as having a great sense of humor and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Steve was an avid musician and played guitar with the "Nashville North" and "Country Edition" bands. He is survived by his loving wife, Ann; daughters, Audrey Clapsaddle, Melody (Mark) Stuckey, April Sears and Tracy Marcoaldi; grandchildren, Billy, Jeremy, Sis, Anthony, Sarah, Matt, Kevin and Allison; great-grandchild, Will; brother, Jim (Nancy) Clapsaddle and their children, Jim Jr. and Steve; uncle and aunt, William (Bernice) Clapsaddle and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Stephen was preceded in death by his parents. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Rd., Millbury, OH, on Friday, February 24, 2006, from 4-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 11 a.m. in Zion Lutheran Church, Pemberville, where the family will greet guests after 10 a.m. Memorial contributions in Stephen's name may be given to the American Cancer Society.
