Stephen Fejes, 86, of Oregon, Ohio passed away March 12, 2011 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. He was born in Defiance, Ohio on January 4, 1925 to Joseph and Elizabeth (Gabor) Fejes. Steve served his country during World War II in the United States Navy. On February 27, 1947, he married Marie Shick. He was employed with Local 50 as a heating and air conditioning technician, working many years at Standard Oil, retiring in 1988. Steve enjoyed horse racing, gardening, fishing, playing cards, and auctions. Steve has also been a devoted caregiver to his son Michael who was diagnosed with Down '™s Syndrome, attending many events with him. Steve will be remembered for his devotion to those less fortunate, helping however he could. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marie; sons, Stephen ( Carol) of Irving, Texas, Joe (Joni) of Houston, Texas, Tim (Terry) of Martin, Ohio, and Michael of Oregon, Ohio; grandchildren, Sarah, Tyre, Marlee, and Jacob; and great-grandson, Lukyan. Also survived by many loving family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joe, John, and Bill; and sisters, Mary, Betty, Helen, Irene, and Ann. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 10:00 am with interment following in Restlawn Memorial Park.
