Stephen J. ("Pista") Kekes, Sr.
21/01/31-13/17/04
Steve died in his sleep in the hospital, of unknown/(but not surprising), illnesses.
He was a PROUD former-X--Marine, serving stateside during both WWII and the
Korean Conflicts.
He is proceeded in death by the passing of his wife, (June), his daughter, (Shari), both parents, and several siblings.
He is survived by children Stephen R. -("Butch"), Shelly, Stephen J. II- ("Pete"), and Beth J. He also is survived by two great grand children.
He is the 12th of 13 children...(born to Hungarian immigrants).....most survive him. He was also very fond of several nephews and cousins......without whose help, support, and love, he could not have prospered.
He worked at Libby-Owens-Ford on E. Broadway for many years, retiring in '79 due to medical problems.
As were his wishes....he will be cremated, and wished only to be remembered fondly by family and friends. His children will place his remains with his wife and daughter's.....as per-his-wishes.
His family requests that any tributes be offered to the charity of YOUR choice. (Animal rescue and Cerebral Palsy groups are our choices....but...all choices of diversity are gratefully appreciated.)
There will also be no memorial services, as per his wishes.
The family wishes to thank all who care and remember. Arrangements are being handled by the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Homes.
