Steve J. 'œHockey Puck' Gall, 89, passed away on August 28, 2012 at Regency Hospital. He was born in Hungary on May 18, 1923 to John and Margaret (Juhasz) Gall. When Steve was 6 years old, his family moved to Canada and eventually, Steve moved to the United States. Steve worked at Chrysler and General Motors. He was a member of Calvin United Church of Christ where he sang in the choir and taught Sunday School. Steve loved sports, especially hockey and lacrosse. He was a very talented player earning the nick-name 'œHockey Puck' for his skill. Steve is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Irene; children, Steve (Simone) Gall, Irene (Henry) Meech; grandchildren, Julie (Chris) Iemma and Melanie Gall. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Julius Gall. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Thursday, August 30, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Calvin United Church of Christ, 1946 Bakewell St. in Toledo and where family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.
