Steven R. Nemecek, Sr., 66, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on October 8, 2018 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. Steve was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 17, 1951 to Wenceslaus "Veno" and Ruth (Hampton) Nemecek. He was a Waite High School graduate and went on to work as a conductor for the Norfolk Southern Railroad, retiring in 2001. Steve is survived by his wife, Mary (Galatocky); children, Steve (Laurie), Jeff (Brandy) and Allen (Brianne); grandchildren, Veno, Dylan, Jack; mother, Ruth Nemecek; siblings, Marty (Pat), Chris (Michelle), Joe (Lori), Michelle (Rob) LaPlante; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws. He was preceded in death by his father, "Veno". A celebration of Steve's life will be held on Saturday, October 13 at 3 p.m. Please call a family member for details.
