Steven L. Thomas, 33, of Burgoon, Ohio and formerly of Oregon, OH passed away Thursday, August 14, 2003 at Medical College Hospital of Ohio as a result of an automobile accident. Steven was born in Toledo on October 29, 1969 to Joseph and Dorothy (Butt) Thomas. He was a US Army Veteran. Steven was the co-owner of Northwest Construction, Inc. which does home remodeling and repair. Steven was an avid dirt bike racer, boater and an avid gun collector. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. He is survived by his parents, Joseph and Dorothy Thomas; brothers, Kenneth (Jean) of Burgoon, OH, Kevin (Sandi) of Genoa, OH, James Thomas of Burgoon, OH; sister, Sandra (Scott) Barr of Fountain, CO; nieces, Stacey and Kelley Thomas; nephews, Connor and Austin Barr. Visitation will b e held at Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Homes, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH on Sunday from 2-9 p.m. with recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Monday at 12:30 p.m. and proceed to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery.
