Steven J. Toth, 87, of Northwood, OH passed away August 21, 2003 in Bay Park Community Hospital. He was
born on April 1, 1916 to Stephen and Helen (Bajusz) Toth in Toledo, Ohio. Steve was a US Army Veteran serving during World War II and was employed by Trailmobile as a branch manager for 17 years, retiring in 1977. He was inducted into the Birmingham Hall of Fame in 1986. He was a life-long member of Calvin United Church of Christ where he served as treasurer, vice-president and president of the Board of Trustees, 50 year member of Robinson-Locke Masonic Lodge and the Zenobia Shrine where he was a charter member of the Temple Guards. He also was a member of the VFW, the Ohio School Board Association, past school board member of Northwood, Wood County and Penta County Schools, serving as president of all three school boards. Steve also was an honorary member of the Ohio School Board Association and a recipient of their Leadership Award in 1989.
Surviving are his daughters, Marcia (Robert) Mazur, Pemberville, OH and Priscilla "Cookie" (Daniel)
Michalak, Sebring, FL; granddaughters, Beth (Erin) Wruble and Molly Mazur. He was preceded in death by his
parents; wife, Priscilla (Bertok); brothers, Julius Jr., William, Paul and sisters, Lola Toth and Sarah Porter.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 25, 2003 from 2-9 p.m. at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in Calvin United Church of Christ, 1946 Bakewell St., Toledo, OH.
