Susan M. Novak, 88, of Oregon, Ohio passed away at Lane Park surrounded by her loving family on February 20, 2016. She was born in Toledo, Ohio to Joseph and Susan (Ivan) Papp on April 4, 1927. She graduated from Waite High School and went on to work for Ohio Bell, shortly after she married the love of her life Joseph Novak on January 13, 1950. Susan was a life member at Calvin United Church of Christ where she volunteered with dinners and was a member of the Hungarian ladies group. She loved feeding the birds, baking, cooking and had a passion for reading. In their retirement years she and her late husband enjoyed RV'ing and spending time in Myrtle Beach. Susan was a very caring and loving wife, mom and grandma who will be deeply missed. Susan is survived by her children, Bruce (Cindy Fallon) Novak, Marjorie (David) Garey, David Novak, Judi (Eric Snyder) Novak, Susan Cordell and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 61 years, Joseph Novak; brothers, Joseph and Paul Papp; son-in-law, James Cordell Jr., and daughter-in-law, Donna Novak. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Sunday, February 28, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 6:00 p.m. Inurnment will be private.
