Susana Lopez, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away suddenly Saturday, March 29, 2025. Susie was born August 28, 1958, in Oregon, Ohio, to Arnoldo and Antonia (Martinez) Cardenas. On July 2, 1976, she married the love of her life and soul mate, Jose Lopez. For over 40 years, Susie provided care for countless children and families, many of which became lifelong friends. Susie was an accomplished baker and cooked delightful meals for her family and friends. Holiday gatherings hosted by Susie always included a card party. She shared many road trips with her family and visited favorite casinos along the way. Susie was always on the lookout for a great bargain and finding her next treasure at a garage sale or antique mall. She treasured the time spent with her husband, children, grandchildren and extended family who will miss her dearly.

Susie is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jose; children, Jose (Mina) Lopez Jr., Diana Marie Lopez, Roberto Lopez, and Alicia (Tony) Shamas; grandchildren, Carmen, Paxton, Kaden, Jade, Yasmeen, Diego, and Tristan; siblings, Jose Cardenas, Sandra Peltier, and Arnoldo (Shannon) Cardenas Jr; along with many nieces, nephews, loving family members and dear friends. Preceded in death by her parents and cherished family members in the Cardenas and Lopez family.

The family will receive friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) Sunday, April 6, 2025, from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Funeral services Monday, April 7, 2025, at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Interment: Clay Township Cemetery.
