Suzanne K. Kowalka, 74, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2003 in the Lutheran Home at Toledo. She was born on August 28, 1928 in Toledo, Ohio to Edwin and Bernice (Janney) Furrer. Suzanne was an active member and served as an officer for many years with the Christ Dunberger American Legion Ladies Auxiliary # 537. She also was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Suzanne devoted her life to her family as a wife and mother; her many friends in the Ladies Auxiliary at Dunberger Post #537 and as an avid church goer and child of Christ Surviving are her husband, Fred J.; sons, Raymond E. (Polly), William C. and Keith T. Kowalka; grandchildren, Angela Fowler, Chris Kowalka, Michelle Kowalka and Matthew Kowalka; great-grandchild, Trinity Fowler. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 24, 2003 at 10:00 am in the Eggleston-Meinert Funeral Home Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, Ohio, where visitation will be held on Monday from 2 to 9 pm with Dunberger Auxiliary service at 7 pm. Interment will take place in Restlawn Memorial Park.
