Sylvia B. Dreher, 85, of Walbridge, Ohio passed away at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky, Ohio on September 26, 2014. She was born on January 18, 1929 in Tunnelton, West Virginia to Waitman and Blanche (Pysel) Shahan. She was a waitress at the Woolworth Snack Bar, specifically the lunch counter, for 25 years, before retiring in 1985. In her free time, Sylvia enjoyed golfing, bowling, Bingo and gardening. Surviving is her son, Edward (Barbara) Stidom; brothers, Robert, Ross and Jacob; and sisters, Sue, Jean and Wilma. She was preceded in death by her loving companion, William 'œBill' Blanton; husband, Louis; four brothers and one sister. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury, Ohio on Monday September 29, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Private interment will take place at Catawba Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the American Heart Association.
