Taide Villegas, of Toledo Ohio passed away on June 14, 2025 at Mercy St. Vincent Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. He was born in La Mora Guanajuato Mexico October 13, 1956, to Paula and Diego (Garcia) Villegas. He was happily married to his loving wife, Eleazar (Gonzales) for 47 years. He was a resident of East Toledo and worked at Hirzel canning in Pemberville over 50 years. He is survived by his wife Eleazar Gonzales; mother, Paula; son, Jose Villegas; grandson Julian; siblings Valente, Juan, Jubelino, Carmel, Pablo, Valente, Eulogia, Maria, Rosa, and Elena; along with many nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends.

Taide was a great, awesome, father and grandfather and husband. He felt proud working with Hirzel Canning Company. He was dedicated to his job; always talking about what he did at work and show his family pictures to his coworkers. He loved to play with his grandson in his free time after work. He loved the outdoors and always had a project going on. He would love to craft things and invent things in the garage. He loved to work on his cars, do yard work, housework any many activities that would keep him busy. Taide always had a big smile when he would talk with you and always happy to see someone. He loved to have conversations with anybody. You would never see him in a bad mood. Always a very happy and cheerful person. His smile and his laughter will be missed by many family members, friends, and neighbors.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19 at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will also be held at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 738 S. St. Clair Street from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Taide's honor can be directed to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
