Tamara Kay Limmer, 53 of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on February 11, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, Ohio. Tamara was born in Toledo, Ohio on June 11, 1959 to Kevin and Carol (Damschroder) Steiner. On October 20, 1984, Tamara married Marty Limmer. Tamara was employed as a clerk with the Lucas County Auditor'™s Office for 8 years and worked for the Lucas County Health Department for 22 years, retiring in 2008. She was a 25 year member of the Yondota Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and an active member of St. Mark Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School for several years. Her hobbies included reading, crocheting and embroidery. Tamara and Marty hosted seven foreign exchange students in their home. She volunteered with the Oregon Community Theater, The Choraliers, and the WGTE Auction as bid sorter chairman. Tamara enjoyed traveling; especially to Disney World and the Smokey Mountains.
Tamara is survived by her husband of 28 years, Marty; parents, Kevin and Carol Steiner; sister, Janice Sharp; niece, Laura Lynne Sharp and many other nieces and nephews; brother-in-laws, Mark (Darlene), Les (Martha) and Mike Limmer; sister-in-law, Emily (Frank) Halbert and dogs, Belle and Simba.
Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday, February, 15, 2013 from 2:00 pm - 9:00 pm with Eastern Star services at 7 pm. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 11:00 am in St. Mark Lutheran Church, 611 Woodville Road, Toledo where the family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to St. Mark Lutheran Church or Shriners Hospital for Children.
