Tarry Stoner, 71 of Oregon, a loving husband and father. Born on March 25, 1943 to Forrest and Lillian Stoner(Smith) and passed away on January 18, 2015 at Mercy St Vincent Medical Center. Tarry was an electrician for 33 years at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in the maintenance department. He also served as a night custodian for Cardinal Stritch High School. A resident of Oregon, Ohio he is survived by his wife of 36 years Marilyn (Rajner) and his beloved daughter Amanda (Ryan) Young, sister Suzanne Langston (Jay Sponsler), sister-in-law and brother-in-law JoAn and Andrew Gocsik and brotherin-law and sister-in-law Charles and Janice Rajner. Tarry's family was of paramount importance to him. Tarry's most precious moment on this earth was watching his daughter become a woman, fall in love, and marry her Prince Charming in June of this past year. One of Tarry's greatest joys was that of being an Uncle and Great-Uncle. He truly was just that, a great uncle to his nieces and nephews; and to his great nieces and nephews who affectionately referred to him as Uncle Bug. Tarry ran the chains for Cardinal Stritch High School football games so he could be closer to his nephews who played. Tarry was an avid fan of Walt Disney World and traveled there several times a year. He especially enjoyed experiencing the amusement parks through the eyes of his great nieces and nephews. Tarry enjoyed boating, hunting, Spring Training baseball trips, and the great outdoors. He was an outright Ohio State fan (who did not like the team up north) and enjoyed attending a night game recently in the "Shoe". Despite having both legs amputated in recent years, Tarry's drive and ambition kept him active. In addition to his frequent trips to Florida, Tarry managed time to visit his other favorite place, Las Vegas, multiple times. Tarry enjoyed the company of his pets Mollie and Gracie who provided love and support through his many physical rehabilitations and they mutually enjoyed each other's entertainment. Tarry will be forever remembered for his incredible sense of humor, countless dirty jokes, and unique observations of the world around him. His colorful personality was equally matched by his colorful fashion sense. He was loved by those who knew him the best; and there's no better way to judge one's success in life. Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday from 2-8 pm and where a scripture service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 11:00 am at Epiphany of the Lord St. Stephen Parish, Toledo, where the family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Family requests donations to Epiphany of the Lord Parish or Kateri Cardinal Stritch High School. Tarry's family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the loving and caring nursing staff of the Cardiac ICU of the Regional Heart and Vascular Hospital and Pastoral Care of Mercy St Vincent Medical Center; in particular, Megan, Julie, Kelly and Carol who were there for Tarry and for the family.
