Obituary

Teddy Leon Longsworth, 69, of Frakes, KY and formerly of Oregon, OH passed away May 6, 2014 at his home. He was born in Valley Creek, TN on December 18, 1944 to James and Jaunita (Loveday) Longsworth. He graduated from Pruden High School and served in the U.S. Army. Ted was a truck driver for the Teamsters Local 20 until his retirement in 2002. During his career he worked for Toledo Plate and Window Glass, Carolina Freight, and Roadway. He was employed by B&B Trucking at the time of his death. Ted enjoyed golf, his Harley, Waylon Jennings, getting together with friends and family. He had an unforgettable spirit, a contagious laugh, and a smile that lit up a room. Ted was the light of our lives and we will cherish his memory forever. He is survived by his mother, Jaunita Davis, his brothers Richard (Vicky), Steve (Vanessa), Daniel (Fran) and Ricky Longworth; his sisters Diane Sizemore, Sandra (Haggard) Taylor, and Teresa (Ken) Whiteaker; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, countless friends, and Nora Longsworth, his wife for 28 years. Teds spirit will live on in his children, Tammy (John) Derry, Jody Alford, Karen (Jeremy) Brown, Carolyn Rodriguez, Jessica (Adam) Lants and grandchildren Ryan, Sean, Megan, Kayla, Chloe, Toni, Nia, Alec, Madison, Hannah, Nora, Elliott, Sullivan and Phoebe, Teddy was preceded in death by his father, James Longsworth; brother, James Edward Longsworth; and beloved aunt and uncle, Trish and L.B. Simms. Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday, May 16, 2014 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of your choice. Visitation: Oregon Chapel Friday 2-8 pm Services: Oregon Chapel Saturday 10:00 am Interment: Restlawn Memorial Park
