Telesforo Olivarez, 77, of Genoa, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Sinton, TX on January 5, 1938 to Toribio and Juana (Mendoza) Olivarez. Telesforo worked at the International Docks as a longshoreman for 25 yrs and with the Laborers Union #500 for 11 years. He enjoyed gardening, spending time with family and rooting for local area sport teams. Surviving are his loving wife of 56 years, Eliodora; son, Christopher (Virginia) of Oregon, OH; grandchildren, Bianca, Anthony Christopher and Anthony Joel Olivarez; 5 great grandchildren and brother, Raul He was preceded in death by parents; 9 siblings and son, Anthony Olivarez. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, 1111 Woodville Rd., Millbury Chapel (east of I-280) on Monday, October 5, 2015 from 1 pm until 7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Tuesday, October 6 at 10 am in St. Ignatius Church where the family will greet visitors after 9 am. Interment will take place in St. Ignatius Cemetery Cemetery.
