Teresa L. Altaffer, 51, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. Teresa was born in Hudson, Michigan on December 16, 1962 to Thomas and Florence (Miller) Shiffler Sr. She was a 1981 graduate of Rossford High School. On February 6, 1982, she married the love of her life, John Altaffer. Teresa enjoyed crafts, collecting angels and Tinker Bell. Teresa was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. Her true passion was spending time with her children and grandchildren who brought her much joy. Teresa is survived by her husband of 32 years, John; daughters, Amanda (Randy) Arrington, Alexandra (Chris) Schneider, and Adrianna (Eric) Schroeder; father, Thomas (Carolyn) Shiffler Sr., 8 grandchildren; brothers, Thomas (Janice) Shiffler Jr., and Lester (Lori) Shiffler and Richard (Deb) Keesee; sister, Sunnie Keesee Fore; along with many loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Florence & Raymond 'œButch' Cloyne; and sister, Sheila Stone. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 11:00 am in St. Mark Lutheran Church, 611 Woodville Road, Toledo, where the family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 am.
