Teresa Steele, 91, formerly of Toledo, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2008, at Haven Hospice in Gainesville, Florida. Teresa was born the youngest of seven surviving children in Toledo on April 13, 1916, to Frank and Josefina Schramek. Ms. Steele was employed as a certified nursing assistant at the former Medical College of Ohio, and before her retirement in 1981 as a central sterile supply technician. She had previously worked at the Lucas County Home and the Auto-Lite. In retirement she enjoyed her family, was an ardent follower of politics both local and national, especially during presidential elections. She was also a devoted lover of dogs. She will be deeply missed by her son, Rod Steele (Carol) of Anaheim, CA, daughter, Penny Forthome (Linda Young) of Gainesville, FL, daughter-in-law, Margie Steele of Oregon and 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grand-children. She was preceded in death by her son, Sgt. Ronald Steele of the Oregon Police Department. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ignatius Church, Oregon. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Parkcliffe Community at Wright Harvey House in Northwood, OH and the Haven E.T. York Hospice Care Center in Gainesville FL for their care and dedication.
