Thelma Ruth Merritt, 85, of Genoa, Ohio passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. She was born in Millbury, Ohio on February 11, 1929 to Frederick and Henrietta (Jackson) Traver. She graduated from Lake High school and married her loving husband, Harold Merritt Sr. Upon retiring from Hunt-Wesson Foods, she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her friends. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Thelma is survived by her children, Rebecca Angel, Harold Merritt II and granddaughter, Kristine Henderly. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, sisters and her beloved great-granddaughter, Mikayla Angel. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 3 at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, 204 Main Street, Genoa, Ohio 43430 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
