On June 12, 2023, Theresa Ann Ellis, 91, of Oregon, Ohio, passed on at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born on Feb. 15, 1932 to Paul and Theresa Kochan. Theresa was raised in the comfort of a large and loving family. Today, she is forever reunited with her loving husband Chuck with whom she shared 55 years of joyous marriage.

Theresa is survived by her sons Edward (Linda) and Mark (Cynthia). Her life was enriched by her grandchildren Edward Jr., Jennifer (Robert), Nathan (Sara), Neal (Jamie), and Michael (Katharine), and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

Theresa was an accomplished baker and enjoyed cooking meals for her entire family. She loved when one of her children or grandchildren made her dinner using her old family recipes or baked a delicious cake or cookie. Theresa loved palm trees and warm ocean breezes which she and Chuck shared in their travels together, most notably to Florida and Hawaii with family and friends. There was no greater people person than Theresa and her legacy of love and giving will carry on for generations.

The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon, Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road Thursday, June 15, 2023, from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, June 16, 2023, at 11:00 am in St. Ignatuis Catholic Church, 212 North Stadium Road, Oregon, where the family will receive friends after 10:00 am. Interment: North Oregon Cemetery . Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or a charity of the donor's choice. Theresa's family wishes to extend a special thank you to her numerous dedicated caregivers.

Prior to her passing, Theresa had written: "To my loving family and longtime friends, when I am gone, cry for me a little, think of me sometimes. Let your thoughts be with the living. I will miss and love you all. Keep me in your hearts."
