Thomas C. Behrendsen Sr., 79, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on July 28, 1942 to Charles and Florence (Sharp) Behrendsen. Tom served his country in the United States Army. He then worked at Chrysler for several years and later for Toledo Public School's until his retirement. He was an avid car enthusiast, enjoyed spending time with his family at the lake and had a passion for helping others and fixing anything. What he cherished most were his 2 grandchildren, making sure he attended all of their various sporting events and functions throughout the years. He will be dearly missed. Tom is survived by his daughter, Cynthia (Todd) Deem; son, Thomas (Christy Phillips) Behrendsen Jr.; grandchildren, Jeffery and Jordin Richardson and Caleb, Lantz and Emelia Chambers. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kathy; and sister, Marsha. Friends and family may visit Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, OH, 43616, on Tuesday, November 23. 2021 from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
