Thomas E. Bishop, 78, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Friday, February 12, 2016 at Mercy St. Charles Hospital, Oregon, Ohio. Tom was born in Monroe, Michigan on September 24, 1937 to Stewart and Claudine (Vance) Bishop. He served in the United States Army, then went on to work as a brakeman and conductor for CSX Railroad for 37 years. Tom loved to be with his family and spend time at home bird watching. He also loved going to Las Vegas and enjoyed playing cards with friends. Tom is survived by his wife of 35 years, Gale; sons, Mike (Jodine) Bishop, Douglas Bishop; grandchildren, Mike Jr. (Holly), Melinda and Shannon Bishop; great-grandchildren, Adam, Slayden, Halena, Lakin; sister, Sally Petrusky; brother, James Bishop; sisters-in-law, Sachie Bishop and Norma Bishop. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Tim; brothers, Richard "Dick" and Kenneth Bishop.
Per Tom's request, there will be no visitation or sevices. Memorials contributions in Tom's name may be directed to Maumee Valley Save-A-Pet, Healing Barn or Golden Retriever Rescue. Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
