Thomas J. Blair, 70, of Oregon, Ohio passed away peacefully at Heartland of Oregon on August 19, 2016. Tom was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 13, 1945 and was immediately adopted by Orville and Winona (Nye) Blair. Tom graduated from Macomber High School in 1963. He started working at a young age as a paper boy then McDonalds, L.O.F. and retired from the US Postal Service. After retiring he worked at Eagles Landing Golf Course. He married Pam (Beebe) on June 25, 1977 and they enjoyed 39 years of marriage. Tom was Commodore of Harbor View Yacht Club in 1989 where he and Pam met many new friends. Tom was grateful for a kidney transplant he received in May 2013. Most important to Tom was his family and grandchildren who affectionately knew him as "Grumps." He will be deeply missed.
Tom is survived by his wife, Pam; step-daughters, Jennifer (Mark) Haar and Krista Beeler; grandchildren, Meghan, Matt, Rachel, William, Joshua; sister, Janice Blanch of Charlottesville, VA; nieces, Heather, Stephanie, Kimberly and Elizabeth; brother-in-law, John (Sue) Beebe; and many friends and other loving family members.
The family would like to thank everyone who called, e-mailed, sent cards, visited and kept Tom in their thoughts. The family would also like to give a special thank you to Heartland of Oregon and Heartland Hospice for the compassionate care they provided to Tom.
