Thomas J. Borko, 47, of Curtice, Ohio passed away suddenly on March 24, 2016 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center . He was born in Toledo, Ohio on June 28, 1968 to Karoly and Helen (Nemeth) Borko. Tom was a very kind and generous person who was loved by many, and he was always concerned for others. He loved animals, and really enjoyed and was very interested in Cedar Point. He loved Calvin United Church of Christ and was very proud of his Hungarian heritage.
Tom is survived by his mother, Helen; brother, Karl (Amy Mullins) Borko. He was preceded in death by his father, Karoly; sister, Maria Borko; and grandmother, Irma Nemeth.
The family would like to thank the staff of Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, especially Thom's nurses and doctors. The entire staff worked very hard on Thom's behalf.
A memorial service will be held in Calvin United Church of Christ, 1946 Bakewell St., Toledo, Ohio, on April 2, 2016, at 11 a.m., where the family will greet friends beginning at 9:30 a.m. After the service, there will be a luncheon at Calvin Church for Thom's friends and family to gather and reminisce.
Memorial contributions in Thomas' name may be made to Calvin United Church of Christ. Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
