Thomas A. Edwards, 87, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on July 28, 2022. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 12, 1934 to Thomas and Grace (Miller) Edwards. He graduated from Clay High School in 1952. Thomas married his loving wife, Dorothy (Fletcher) in 1955 who preceded him in death. He worked, at Lakefront Docks as a Longshoreman for 35 years before retiring in 1996. He had an extremely hard work ethic, and enjoyed boating and fishing. Thomas was an Oregon Volunteer Fireman for several years. He loved going to the casino and playing poker, but what he cherished most was his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his daughters, Lorraine (Darryl) Vasko and Karry Loch; grandchildren, Andrew (Stephanie) Vasko, Dana (James Nigg), Vasko, Alea Loch; 2 great-grandchildren, Noah and Ellie Vasko; sister-in-law, Carolyn Edwards; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Judy Thomas and would also like to acknowledge close friends, Doug and Georgette Ensign and their children, Laurie (Jim), late daughter, Kristine and Ward for being there for all these years. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Dorothy; sons, Dwight and Douglas Edwards and brothers, Robert and Martin Edwards. The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel 440 S. Coy Road Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 6:00 p.m. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Lake Township Cemetery.
