Thomas D. Firsdon, 80, of Oregon, Ohio passed away May 20, 2014 with his loving family by his side. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on June 1, 1933 to William and Bessie (Quaid) Firsdon. Tom was employed by Conrail Railroad formerly New York Central, retiring in 1986. In his spare time Tom enjoyed going to garage sales, flea markets; traveling and camping. Tom will be remembered by many as a walking GPS never lost and always knew every route east of the Mississippi!
Surviving are his children, Cindy Ferree, Susan (Jack) Kidd, Dawn Bonnell, and Kelly (David) Curns; grandchildren, Donald Shupe II, Jessica Ferree, Jay (Kendra) Barr, Daniel (Amy) Firsdon, Rachel Rynicke, Darcey Firsdon, Allan Bonnell, Shannan Bonnell, Crystal (Nathan) Giles, Roy Johnson II, Candace Johnson, Angel (Jonathon) Saldivar, David Curns Jr., Traci Curns; 20 great grandchildren; brother, Donald (Shirley) Firsdon. Tom was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Judith Johnson; great grandchild, Heavenly Saldivar; brothers, Robert and Bill; sister, Dorothy Gonzales.
Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday, May 23, 2014 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
