Thomas "Gio" Michael Giovanoli Sr. 59, was a lifelong resident of Toledo/Oregon, Ohio passing away on November 27, 2021. He was born on July 10, 1962 in Oregon, OH to Richard and Barbara (Rapp) Giovanoli. He grew up on the East Side of Toledo attending Holy Rosary Parish, Birmingham Elementary, and graduating from Cardinal Stritch High School in 1980. He was baptized Roman Catholic faith as it was presented in the Catechism of the Catholic Church. He continued to count his blessings and faith until the very end. He began working for FCA on October 3, 1983, finishing in Quality Assurance with over 38 years of experience.
Tom was a son, a brother, a spouse, a dad, an uncle, and a Nonno, but if you were his friend you knew that too. Tom had an infectious smile and even a better laugh. He was hilarious, the life of the party and a true family man. Tom was unapologetically himself and authentic as they come, you always knew where you stood with him. He was a simple man who loved Collins Park golf course, because he was with his family and friends in "god's country". Tom stood strongly about being a Republican, 'American Made" and thanking all Military for their services to the greatest country in the world. Especially his father; Richard, U.S. Navy and son, Nicholas, U.S. Marine Corp. He frequented the V.F.W. 4906 to play his favorite card game of Euchre and hang out with his lifelong childhood friends and of course drinking Bush beer. Tom made sure to never pass up an opportunity to Karaoke to his favorite song, "Sweet Caroline." His enthusiasm and unconditional following of the Cleveland Browns goes without saying, as well as his love for all Cleveland Teams and The Ohio State Buckeyes!
Tom leaves behind his wife of 38 years, Denice (Szymanski), whom he married on September 3, 1983. Three amazing sons entered into his world that he loved with all his beings. Tommy (Natasha), Nicholas (Kristi), and Dustin. Nonno's grandchildren; Teagan and Hudson Giovanoli and one on the way. He leaves behind his mother Barbara Giovanoli; and his beloved Italian brothers, twin Timothy, Todd (Paula), Tony, Terry (Michelle), and Scott Giovanoli; and many loved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death his father, Richard L. Giovanoli; and sister, Tina Koren.
