Thomas G. Hartford Sr., 78, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, August 6, 2024, surrounded by family. Tom was born April 25, 1946, in Toledo, Ohio, to John and Edith (Elkington) Hartford. He was a graduate of Waite High School and served in the United States Marines Corps. Tom was employed with General Dynamis, Clark Equipment, and retired from Ford Motor Company in Lima, Ohio. He was a former member of Zion United Baptist Church, Lima, Ohio, where he served on church council. Tom was currently a member of First St. John Lutheran Church, Toledo, where he was a member of the dartball team. His hobbies included: baking, collecting angels, golfing, and fishing. He was past president of the Lafayette Historical Society.

Tom is survived by his children, Michelle (Robert) Garee and Thomas (Amy) Hartford Jr.; grandchildren, Ethan, Alex, Grace, Christopher, and Sydney; along with his former wife, Gloria Hartford. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, John, Richard, James, and Paul.

The family will receive friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road Sunday, August 11, 2024, from 12:00 pm – 5:00pm. Funeral services Monday, August 12, 2024, at 11:00 am in First St. John Lutheran Church, 2471 Seaman Road, Toledo, where the family will greet friends at 10:00 am. Interment: St. John Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed in the form of contributions to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
