Thomas F. Logan Jr., 78, of Walbridge, Ohio, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Perrysburg. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on May 6, 1946 to Thomas F. and Marian L. (Wagoner) Logan Sr. He worked as a sheet metal fabricator for the local union as well as owning XL Enterprises. On January 17, 1986 he married Patti (Moore). Tom was known for his kind and caring heart, and his many quips will be missed. If asked how he was, he'd say he was "Just as fine as frog's hair, and that's mighty fine." Tom was a member of First Baptist Church of Greater Toledo. He was a 50-year member of Paragon Lodge where he had served as Past Master. He was Past Illustrious Master of Toledo/Vistula Council, serving the Grand Council of Ohio RSM as Grand Chaplain in 2004, presently Grand Representative of South Carolina Near Ohio, a recipient of the Grand Council Distinguished Service Award, and a member of the General Grand Council Order of the Secret Vault. Tom was also a member of Order of the Eastern Star serving as Worthy Patron of Yondota Chapter 21 times with 9 different Matrons, Grand Marshal of Grand Chapter of Ohio OES 2001. He served as an Advisor of International Order of Rainbow for Girls, Lotus Assembly #20 and was a recipient of the IORG Grand Cross of Color. He was a Senior DeMolay. Tom was also an avid Green Bay Packers fan but what he cherished most were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Patti; children, Rob (Shala) Logan, grandchildren, Arthur (Kelly) Beadle, Lauren Mickens, Zack (Sarah) Mickens, Taylor (Dylan) Bovia, Anna (Jacob Fisher) Logan, Brandon Logan; great-grandchildren, Maddie, Landon, Harrison, Jackson, Hailey; siblings, Peggy Heider, Rick (Jennifer) Logan, Doug (Gina) Logan; son-in-law, Jim Mickens; adopted daughter, Tammy Plunkett; and numerous nieces, nephews and loving family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; children, Laura Logan-Beadle-Peeples; Vickie Mickens, Thomas F. Logan III; and sister Sue Jennison.
Friends and family may visit Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Friday, June 28, 2024 from 2:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. with Eastern Star Services at 7:00 followed by Masonic Lodge Services. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Tom's name may be directed to, Diabetic Youth Services or Grand Chapter of Ohio OES Charities.
