Thomas J. Lutz Sr., 81, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 31, 1942 to Robert and Caroline (Brosnan). Tom graduated from Macomber in 1961 and went on to work at Surface Combustion and Teledyne. He then became a millwright and worked at Toledo Jeep as a proud UAW member for 32 years before retiring in 2009. On November 29, 1980 he married Sue (Federici). He was a past member of First St. Mark's Lutheran Church. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and fishing, but what he cherished most was spending time with his loving family.

Tom is survived by his wife, Sue; children, Laurie (James) Terry, Jeffrey (Jodi) Lutz, Steven Lutz, Brian Lutz, Andrea (Anne) Hsu-Lutz, Thomas (Vanessa) Lutz Jr.; grandchildren, Heather, Jacob, Brianna, Alexa, Chase, Connor, Cooper, Cameron, Teddy, Victoria; great-grandchildren, Breelynn, Brexlynn, Krue, Kora, Beckham, Wilder, Teagan; brother, John Lutz; sister, Kathy Redman; brother and sister in-laws, Jim D'Amato, Mary Lutz, Pat (Tom) Davis; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Mary Jo (Bob) Bowers, Terrance (Marilyn) Lutz, Timothy Lutz, Jeanne D'Amato, Fran Lutz; sister in-laws, Carmela Lutz and Sharon Federici.

The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, Ohio 43616 on Sunday, September 24, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Monday, September 25, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in North Oregon Cemetery.
