Thomas M. Smith, 61, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on March 9, 2017. He was born in Bowling Green, Ohio on November 6, 1955 to Arthur and Geraldine (Davis) Smith. Tom is a Army Viet Nam Veteran and was awarded a Purple Heart. He was a supervisor for East River Investments. Tom was a real people person who loved boating, traveling, aliens and conspiracy theories. He enjoyed being an artist and woodworking. Tom was a life member of the American Legion Post. He was known as a "Jack-of-All Trades".
Tom is survived by his significant other of 25 years, Lois Baker; children, Kara (DJ) Ulch, Tammy (Richard) Freni, James Baker, Jr., Andrea (James) Smith, Casey Smith, Thomas (Ashley) Gilbert; mother, Jerry (Don) Smith Jett; sister, Kathy (Wayne) Kauffman; 11 grandchildren; also surviving are several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; son, Michael Baker; brother, James Smith.
Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Monday, March 13, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue following the service until 9:00 p.m. Those wishing an expression of sympathy in Thomas' name are asked to consider a donation to the Smith Family.
