Timothy A. Menter, 65, of Curtice, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at ProMedica Bay Park Hospital. Timothy was born on December 12, 1960 in Oregon, Ohio to Wesley Sr. and Marlene (Kine) Menter.
After graduating from Clay High School, Tim enlisted in the United States Air Force. Tim went on to build his career with passion and integrity. He was a dedicated employee at the City of Oregon for nearly 20 years.
Tim spent much of his time in the ways he loved most of all; caring for his collection of vintage motorcycles as well as hunting and fishing with close friends and family. Tim could often be found in his garage, tinkering on projects while classic rock played in the background, a hobby that exemplified his dedication to his craft. He made a second home in Southern Ohio, where he and his closest friends owned a small home in the heart of their favorite hunting spot.
Those who knew Tim will remember his strong personality, independent spirit, and pride for his work and beloved children. He will forever be remembered for his ability to make any motor run again.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Josh Menter and Katie Menter; his mother, Marlene Menter; Siblings, Jeff (Ann) Menter, Judy (Jim) Pilewski, Wesley Jr. "Larry" (Chris) Menter, Laurie (Charles) Carter, Cindy (Henry) Treece and Vickie Menter; 16 nieces and nephews as well as 35 great-nieces and nephews. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Julie Zemnicki, with whom he was a loyal friend. He will be missed dearly by numerous lifelong friends; Bob Kettinger, Marty Gedert, and Tim Sheehan, just to name a few.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wesley Menter Sr.; Niece, Stormy DeJohn, and dear friend, Bill Belegrin.
Family and friends may visit Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Saturday, Janaury 31, 2026 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. The family will also greet friends on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. with funeral services to follow at 11:30 a.m.
Tim's family and friends would like to thank the Bay Park ICU team for their exceptional care and compassion.
