Tomas I. Lopez, 51, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Promedica St. Luke'™s Hospital. Tomas was born in Toledo on July 7, 1961 to Antonio and Mary (Duran) Lopez. He had worked as a carpenter for the Carpenters Union. The loves of Tomas'™s life was his grandchildren, his music, playing guitar and drums. He also enjoyed singing and dancing. He was preceded in death by his mother, grandson, Tomas III and brothers, Antonio Jr. and Martin. Surviving are his father, Antonio Sr.; children, Jose, Desiree (David) Hernadez, Elisha (Esteban) , Tomas II (Stella), Antonio (Marisol), Joslin Lopez; grandchildren Alyssa, Ricardo, Anessa, Aliciana, David III, Darren, Nalania, Kaylee, Esabella, Amaya, Tomas IV, Juliano, Isiaha, Xaviaha, Antonio III, Damacio,; siblings, Cynthia (Arturo) Koren, Vincente (Jennifer), Maria, Juan (Lisa); dear friends, Alicia Alonzo and Rosalinda Hernandez. Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon, Chapel 440 S. Coy Road on Wednesday 4-8 pm and Thursday from 2-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11:00 am in Our Lady, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral, 2535 Collingwood Blvd., Toledo, where the family will greet friends one hour prior to the Mass. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Tomas'™s memory are asked to consider his family.
