Una M. Porter, 79, of Toledo, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2004, in the Lutheran Home at Toledo. She was born in Toledo, OH on April 11, 1924, to William and Bertha (Nietz) Siewert. Una was a member of Oakdale United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Harry Porter. Surviving are her daughters, Sally Ann Porter, Patsy (Wayne) Lindsay, Susan (John) VanSlyke; sons, Gerald (Kathleen), James (Darlene), Harry (Shirley), and Carl Porter; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Dale Porter; brothers, Ramon and Norman Siewert. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, 2004, from 2-9 p.m. at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Woodville Road Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury, OH, where funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Memorial contributions in Una's honor can be made to Unity United Methodist Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
