Obituary

Velma M. Croak, 92, of Oregon, OH, passed away August 24, 2005, in her daughter's home. She was born on January 2, 1913, to Louis and Margaret (Tienarend) Bahnsen in Lemoyne, OH. Velma was the widow of Raymond Croak, who preceded her in death in 1994. She was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church. Velma enjoyed china painting and making porcelain dolls among many of her creative talents. Her real love was spending time with her family and making their very special birthday cakes. Surviving are daughters, Norma Heider and Janice Minarcin; grandchildren, Joseph (Karen) Heider, Pat Heider, Tim (Hollie) Heider, Rick (Joy) Minarcin, Mike Heider, Annette Minarcin, Jennifer Minarcin, Dave Minarcin; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Andrew Heider, Sierra, Andrew, Rachel Minarcin, Patrick Heider. Velma was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Lester Bahnsen; sisters, Luella Carr, Lillian Corwin and Ethel Bahnsen and son-in-law, Clarence Heider Jr. Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road,on Friday from 4-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday in St. Jerome Catholic Church, 300 Warner, Walbridge, Ohio,at 11 a.m and where the family will greet friends one hour prior to the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Velma's memory can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
