Venetia E. Cooper, 87, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2004, in the Lutheran Home at Toledo. Venetia was born in Toledo on August 18, 1916, to Albert and Ida (Miller) Metzger. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church where she was a past Sunday School teacher for many years. She also was active with the Women of the Church, Children's Service Club and the Lutheran Women's League.
Surviving are her husband, Alden M.; son, Mark J. of Oregon, OH; daughter, Lois R. (David) Fuller of Temperance, MI; grandchildren, David and Stephen Fouty and Michael and Jason Fuller; great-grandchildren, Noah T. and Elijah J. Fouty. Venetia was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Bernice and Loretta Phillips and Alberta and Viola Metzger, and brother, Albert Metzger.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH, where the family will greet visitors after 10 a.m. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Venetia's memory are asked to consider St. Mark Lutheran Church, Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the charity of the donor's choice.
