Vera P. Jarvis, 84, passed away Friday, December 11, 2009 at Ridgewood Manor. She was born on July 21, 1925 to Dewey and Gladys (Botman) Pratt. Vera was a member of Good Shepherd Church and a past volunteer for St. Charles Mercy Hospital in the nursery and day care. Vera is survived by her children, Phyllis (Bill) Methena, Joyce (Danny) Smead, June (Andy) Blakely, Charline (Mel) Harbaugh, Edward (Nancy) Jarvis, Donna Magrum, Patricia Ann (John) Ochenduesko, Joseph (Phyllis) Jarvis, Theresa (Darrell) Young, Bruce (Hilda) Jarvis, Tammy (Dave) Klatt; brothers Bob, Lawrence, Gerald, Dewey; sister, Donna Whittaker; 39 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Penny Methena; sisters, Bernice, Catherine, Charlene Collum; brothers, Dean, Pete and Ronald Pratt. Friends may call at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, 440 S. Coy Road at Starr Avenue on Sunday from 1:00-9:00 pm.
