Verna M. Dartt, 92, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at Mercy St. Charles Hospital. Verna was born in Oregon, Ohio on December 21, 1921 to Lester and Verna (Bensman) Emlinger. On March 31, 1963, she married Robert Dartt. Verna worked as a bus driver for Oregon City Schools, retiring in 1984. She was a charter member of Oregon 1st Church of the Nazarene, now Hope Community Church of the Nazarene where she taught Sunday School for many years. Verna is survived by her sons, Donald (Mary Kay) Dillaman and Robert Dartt Jr.; grandchildren, Andrew and Adam Dartt; great-grandson, Kaeden Dartt; sister, Shirley Disney; daughter-in-law, Karen Dartt; along with many nieces, nephews, and loving family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Sandra Otey; sisters, Alta Tober and Leona Miller, and brothers, Paul and Lester Emlinger. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Sunday, December 29, 2013 from 1:00 pm -7:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 30, 2013 at 11:00 am in Hope Community Church of the Nazarene, 5650 Starr Avenue, Oregon, Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery.
