Veronica H. Nero, 79, of Toledo , passed away Thursday, November 17, 2011 at her residence. She was born in Clay Center, Ohio on July 21, 1932 to Adam and Mary (Tokar) Kozak. Veronica was a longtime member of St. Stephen'™s Catholic Church and its Rosary Altar Society. She was employed with Lucas County Department of Human Services for 30 years, retiring in 1997. Her true passion was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Veronica is survived by her children, John, Joseph, David (Audrey) and Thomas Nero, 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Francis Vargo; brothers, John and Joseph Kozak, along with special friend, Betty (DePetris) Methena. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Dianne Nero, grandson, Tommy Nero, sisters, Anna Bridges and Mary Michaux; and brother, Steven Kozak. Friends may call at Kinsey-Pavley Funeral Home 2001 Consaul Street , Toledo , on Sunday, November 20th from 12:00 noon to 7:00 pm where the rosary will be recited at 4:00 pm. Funeral services will begin at 9:45 am Monday with prayers in the funeral home and proceed to St. Stephen'™s Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Entombment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park . Memorials may be directed to St. Stephen'™s Catholic Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
