Victor J. Stemen, 79, of Northwood, OH went to dwell in his heavenly home on December 14, 2005. He died at home tended to by his loving wife, Kathryn. Victor was born on July 28, 1926 to Cecil "Joe" and Dolly (Reneger) Floro. At the age of ten, he was adopted by his step-father, Victor Stemen. Victor attended Lake High School and served his country in the US Navy from 1943-1946 as a PH-2C, where he saw action in the Pacific on Guadalcanal. An electrician by trade, he worked for Lucas County and the City of Toledo as an inspector retiring in 1984 and was then owner of AAS Electric. Victor was a member of the Paragon Lodge #788 and was an avid golfer. Surviving are his loving wife of 35 yrs., Kathryn; daughters, Debra (Glenn) Iffland, Penny (Chester) Reneau, Judy (Sam) Moccabee and Patricia Davies; sons, Martin Hickman and William (Karen) Hickman; brother, Dewey Arnold Stemen; sisters, Eunice (Charlie) Rinker and Janice Molnar; daughter-in-law, Dee Stemen; grandchildren, Alisa Iffland, Toni and Christy Reneau, Clay and Will Hickman, Katie, Ben and Sam Moccabee, Joe Stemen and Robert Stemen Jr.; 9 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, special friends and special cockatiel, Clint. Victor was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Robert F. Stemen and Warren Hickman; sisters, Blanche, Violet and Betty and brother, Donald. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Friday and Saturday, December 16 & 17, 2005 from 2-9 p.m where a Paragon Lodge service will be held on Saturday at 7 pm.. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. with interment following in Lake Township Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Victor's memory are asked to consider the charity of the donor's choice. The family would like to give a special thanks to all the doctors and nurses at St. Charles Hospital especially Dr. Josephine Collaco and Dr. Bishara and also Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
