Vida L. Barton, 79, of Toledo passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2009, in Mercy St. Vincent Hospital. Vida was born in Oregon, Missouri, on October 1, 1930, to Charles and Vesta (Frey) Combs. Mrs. Barton was very active in the Navarre School PTA and served as president of the Mother's Club. She was employed at Zales Jewelers and was manager of the Max Davis Jewelry store in the Woodville Mall for many years. Vida was also a member of Clark Street United Methodist Church. Surviving are her loving husband, Dale; son, Mark (Kelly) Barton; grandchildren, Kaitlin, Lindsey and Tyler Barton. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, David Barton. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2 to 9 p.m. in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road at Starr Avenue. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Saturday at 1:00 pm. Interment will be in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
