Viola Wilson (nee Coffey), 89 passed away peacefully, Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Doverwood Village, Hamilton, OH. She was born in Richmond , KY on April 19, 1921 to Gilbert and Nettie Coffey, who preceded her in death. As a fulltime homemaker, her servant'™s heart and gracious countenance was evident to all who knew her. Also, she was a devoted, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She lived most of her life in East Toledo and was a member of the former East Christian Church. She loved flowers, cats and playing games and was very social up until the end of her life.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Quentin T. Wilson, brother Hugh Coffey, sister Geneva Kiley-Branham, step-son Ralph D. Wilson, and step-daughter De ette (Wilson) Schmidt. Viola is survived by her three sons Robert G. (Grace) Curtis, Gilbert C. Wilson, and Gary R. (Beatrice) Wilson. She is the fond grandma of 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road , Oregon , Oh, 43616 on Sunday from 1-4:30 p.m. with a celebration of her life beginning at 4:30 p.m. followed by a dinner at New Harvest Christian Church, 3540 Seaman Road , Oregon , Ohio . Interment will be on Monday, March 14th at 10 a.m. at Toledo Memorial Park . Memorial contributions in Viola'™s memory may be made to New Harvest Christian Church.
