Virginia L. Abner, 90, formerly of east Toledo, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2008, at the Aster House at Spring Meadows, Holland, Ohio. Virginia was born in Danville, Virginia on August 7, 1917, to Max M. and Ressie Elizabeth (Hodges) Pruitt. She was employed as a shortage person for 37 years with the Jeep Corporation retiring in 1980. Virginia was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church (Woodville and Elmore Streets.) and past Worthy Matron of May Elliott Chapter #355 Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving are her children, Thomas W. (Christie); Susan L. (Raymond) Schramm, Joyce L. (Aaron) Sutton; grandchildren, Thomas Jr., Sally, Michael, Tiffany, Tyler, Bethany, Christopher and Stephen; great-grand-children, Annie and Seth. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Gracie Brown and Mary Sue Levey and her husband, Wayne Abner. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-9 p.m. at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH with O.E.S. services held at 3:30 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with interment to follow in Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery.
