Virginia M. Beeman, 90, of Tipton Michigan, and formerly of Walbridge, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2014. Virginia was born in Huntington, West Virginia on July 24, 1923 to Leonard and Margaret (Young) Markin. She was employed as an elevator operator in the Edison building for many years. Virginia was a longtime member of Moline United Methodist Church and the Indoor Sports Club. Her true passion was writing poetry and tending the many flowers she grew around her home.
Virginia is survived by her children, Chris Beeman and Margaret (Jim) Branch; grandchildren, Jami, Collin, and Genna; great-grandchildren, Attley, Lizzy, and Samantha; son-in-law, Roger Kern; sister, Jean (Bucky) DeVaughn and many friends from Moline United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Suzette Kern; and sisters, Ellen Smith and Leona Gamble.
Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, Ohio 43616 on Friday, May 2, 2014 from 5:00 pm '" 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Provincial House 700 Lakeshire Trail, Adrian, MI 49221.
