Virginia M. (Healy) Ford, 81, of Oregon, Ohio passed away Friday, June 6, 2008 at St. Charles Mercy Hospital. Mrs. Ford was born in Columbus, Ohio on February 4, 1927 to John and Maxine (Ables) Healy. Virgina was a 1945 graduate of Clay High School. She was the widow of George Ford, her husband of 50 years. They were the owners-operators of Millers Coin-Op Laundromat from 1964-1983. Virginia served as a girl scout leader for many years. She was a member of Unity United Methodist Church and was active in the United Methodist Women. She was also a 50 year member of the Ford Runabouts.
She is survived by her daughters, Wendy Wooddell and Carolyn (Robert) Kettinger; son, George (Jean) Ford; brother, Robert (Edna) Healy; 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Evelyn J. Smith.
Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Monday from 2 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in Unity United Methodist Church, 1910 E. Broadway, Northwood on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Lake Township Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Virginias name are asked to consider Unity United Methodist Church.
