Virginia L. Haack, 88, of Rochester Hills MI., formerly of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 12, 1922 to Harold and Thelma (Douglas) Arndt. Virginia was a 1940 graduate of Clay High School where she enjoyed singing, dancing, and drama. On June 27, 1941, she married Raymond E. Haack. She enjoyed arranging flowers and was Past President of the Brookfield County Lane Garden Club. Virginia and Raymond spent many years together in Lady Lake, FL., where she was a member of the Ohio Club and Wisconsin Club at the Villages. She was a longtime member of St. Luke'™s Lutheran Church, Curtice and a charter member of Hope Lutheran Church of The Villages, Lady Lake, Fl. Virginia enjoyed bowling, bridge and spending time with her family and friends. Virginia is survived by her daughters, Sondra (Fred) Stave and Bonnie (Richard) Ries; grandchildren, Dwayne and Audra Platz, Eric and Cheryl Stave, Peter (Lisa) Ries, Matthew (Jennifer) Ries; also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Friends may call at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday from 5:00-8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 am Saturday at St. Luke'™s Lutheran Church, Curtice. Interment will follow at Williston Cemetery.
