Virginia Ann McGovern, 83, of Lambertville, Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2018 at Ebeid Hospice. Virginia was born in Toledo, Ohio on July 6, 1935 to Louis and Eleanor Ann Perry. In 1955 she married the love of her life, Arthur, and they enjoyed 55 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2010. They enjoyed traveling and were both avid Tigers and Red Wings fans. They were especially fond of following their grandchildren's sporting events. Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Cathy (Michael) Kosakowski, Sandra (Thomas) Sutherland; grandchildren, Kristie (Donnie) Stevens, Sarah (Josh) Smith, Emily (Kyle) Sutherland and Steve (Emily) Sutherland. She loved spending time with her great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Tobias and Annabella Stevens, Zachary and Samantha Smith and Isaac Sutherland. In addition, she is survived by her sister, Patricia LaPlante and sisters-in-law, Phyllis Bolton and Donna Miller. Family and friends may visit on Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with interment following thereafter at Lake Township Cemetery. The family requests any memorial contributions be made to Ebeid Hospice Residence in Sylvania, Ohio. Virginia's family would like to thank the staff at Ebeid for their devotion and kindness during this difficult time. Those we love don't go away, They walk beside us every day.
